The Administration Section is responsible for managing all fiscal and personnel matters for the Airport Police Division, providing oversight for the inventory and distribution of materials and supplies, and managing the division's vehicle fleet.

The Administration Section manages the following units:
Fiscal Unit
The Fiscal Unit is responsible for planning and developing the annual budget for the Airport Police Division (APD). This task coordinates with all APD sections and command staff, and communicates with Los Angeles World Airports Finance and Budgeting Division. Additionally, this unit consolidates the purchases of goods and services for the division, and monitors cash flow to ensure expenses remain within budget. Through the unit's contract management team, all necessary APD procurement authorities are established and kept current.
Human Resources Liaison Unit
The Human Resources Liaison Unit centralizes and standardizes the personnel functions and procedures for the Airport Police Division. This unit is responsible for tracking, coordinating and processing information as it relates to over 1,100 employees and/or positions. The unit coordinates hiring-related functions; maintains position control and organizational charts; conducts position control audits; maintains the division's vacancy report; processes resignations and employee re-assignments; liaises with LAWA workers' compensation; conducts work restriction assessments; coordinates the division's light-duty temporary placement program; processes requests for leaves of absence; and liaises with Internal Affairs Unit, Human Resources Division and the Office of Chief of Airport Police regarding employee discipline, grievances and administrative hearings.
Logistics Unit
The mission of the Logistics Unit is to procure, inventory and distribute materials used by sworn and civilian personnel. The unit obtains and issues uniforms, badges, and equipment to approximately 900 employees, including specialized units and other agencies when joint functions occur. The unit also coordinates body armor replacement and/or issuance, facilities maintenance, parking permits, handheld radios, and work requests to accomplish the above tasks. During emergency incidents, heightened alert levels and special events, the unit provides logistical support as needed.
This unit also coordinates the maintenance of the division’s vehicle fleet for service and repair; manages installation of public safety-related equipment; and coordinates the assignment of vehicles to ensure they are positioned throughout various units for optimum efficiency.
Lost & Found Unit
The Lost & Found Unit receives and safely stores found property. Lost & Found officers are also responsible for the timely restoration of the property to its rightful owner, or the legal disposal of such. Found property is defined as any property discovered within LAWA airports by an individual and given to the custody of an Airport Police officer. To contact the Lost and Found Unit click here...
