LA/PALMDALE REGIONAL AIRPORT (PMD) is located in the Antelope Valley approximately 60 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. It plays a key role in meeting the future demand for air travel in Southern California. The airport features a modern 9,000 square-foot terminal capable of handling up to 300,000 passengers annually. United Express offers two daily roundtrip regional jet flights to San Francisco International Airport where travelers can connect to dozens of flights serving domestic and international destinations.
The airport is located on a 60-acre site at United States Air Force Plant 42. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) owns approximately 17,750 acres of land adjacent to Plant 42, most of which is available for development. PMD is one of four airports owned and operated by LAWA, a City of Los Angeles department which also owns and operates Los Angeles International, LA/Ontario International and Van Nuys.
