Internship Program

In partnership with construction, design, environmental, and other firms providing professional services to LAWA’s $30 billion capital improvement program, the Internship Program provides students with meaningful internship employment that reinforces an academic pathway to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM). Students residing in the airport impact area cities and communities are eligible to participate in the program.

HireLAX Girls Build LA ​

HireLAX Girls Build LA! Construction Careers Exploration Program serves to achieve greater gender equity by creating exposure and hands-on learning activities that will build self-confidence and enthusiasm for construction related careers among high school female students. The program is comprised of in-person seminars and site tours during the academic school year and a camp environment in partnership with design, construction, and labor union partners.
