About
The $294.1-million LAX Economy Parking facility is Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) state-of-the-art economy parking structure. The four-story, 1.7 million-square-foot facility offers approximately 4,300 stalls and is the first component of LAX’s $5.5 billion Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) to be completed, which opened to the public in October 2021.
Located between Westchester Parkway and 96th Street, the facility is the airport’s go-to option for parking outside of the busy Central Terminal Area (CTA). Guests can reserve a parking spot ahead of time at parking.flylax.com and often enjoy discounted rates. The facility also incorporates a Smart Parking Indicator System that utilizes red and green lights to help guide vehicles to open parking spaces, helping to reduce vehicle idling and circling. A Parking Guidance System monitors the amount of available parking spaces on each level and area within the structure.
The facility offers both short- and long-term parking options, restrooms, electric vehicle chargers and a Meet and Greet area, where a free shuttle picks up and drops off parkers. Guests will board the Automated People Mover (APM) train directly from the facility for an express link to LAX’s terminals.
LAX Economy Parking also features several sustainable elements, including:
- Efficient LED lighting with energy-saving light controls
- Dedicated parking spaces for low-emitting vehicles and car/van pool vehicles
- Use of low-flow plumbing fixtures
- Drought tolerant landscaping
- Use of recycled water
