JANISSE BECOMES LAWA CONCESSIONS AND PROPERTY EXECUTIVE

(Los Angeles, CA -- June 28, 2001) Los Angeles World Airports has named Richard M. Janisse as its Deputy Executive Director for Properties and Concessions to lead those functions at LAWA's four airports.

"Richard Janisse is joining LAWA with 27 years of experience in the aviation business development arena," said Lydia H. Kennard, executive director of Los Angeles World Airports. "We believe our concessions and property operations will benefit from his exceptional strength in strategic analysis, business recruitment, general aviation management, and economic planning."

Most recently, Janisse provided consulting services to local governments in airport economic planning, development and marketing activities through his own business development firm, RMJ & Associates, LLC., based in Orange County, CA. Previously, he held several executive positions in the aviation industry.

From 1990 to 1993 he was president and chief executive officer of Martin Aviation, Inc., a large general aviation fueling, air charter, and aircraft sales firm based at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA.

Prior to 1989, Janisse spent 15 years at American Airlines and served in several senior management positions including president and chief executive officer of AMR Services -- a nationwide airline ground services company with operations at 64 airports across the nation and a chain of 10 award-winning fixed-base operators; vice president of sales and service for SABRE Travel Information Network; and president of Agency Data Systems.

While president of AMR Services Corp., he successfully managed the company's rapid growth through internal expansion and diversification of their lines of business through new ventures and acquisitions.

Janisse is a graduate of the University of Detroit where he earned a bachelor of science degree in management.

Los Angeles World Airports is a self-supporting department of the City of Los Angeles, which owns and operates a world-class system of four airports: Los Angeles International, Ontario International, Palmdale Regional, and Van Nuys. LAWA's combined airports move 74 million passengers and 2.7 million tons of cargo annually; employs, directly and indirectly, 410,000 people; and generates $70 billion in economic impacts through an innovative transportation gateway that fuels the regional economy and links Los Angeles and Southern California to the world.
