LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS RECEIVES "GOOD CORPORATE CITIZEN" AWARD

(Inglewood, California -- May 22, 2001) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has received the "Good Corporate Citizen" award from the Inglewood Business Opportunity Network (IBON) for taking the initiative to support the Inglewood community and its local businesses.

The IBON organization seeks to present business and networking opportunities to local small businesses within the City of Inglewood.

"LAWA is a leader and supporter of the City of Inglewood in providing vocational and employment opportunities for community business owners and local residents," said Willie Brown, founder and chief executive officer of IBON. "The members of IBON felt it was appropriate to recognize LAWA for being a good corporate citizen."

LAWA has co-hosted events with IBON to address the needs of the local community by facilitating access to business and employment opportunities at LAWA’s four airports: Los Angeles International, Ontario International, Palmdale Regional, and Van Nuys.

"Inglewood is one of our neighboring cities and it is our responsibility as a good neighbor to develop relationships with residents and local businesses and provide avenues of opportunities to work with Los Angeles World Airports," said Lydia H. Kennard, LAWA executive director.
