NEW GUIDE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES IS AVAILABLE FROM LAX

(Los Angeles, CA. -- October 28, 2002) Everything individuals with disabilities or the elderly want to know about services and resources to assist them while traveling through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is now available in a free brochure entitled, "A Guide For Individuals With Disabilities."

The colorful, 4-1/2-inch by 8-1/2-inch brochure is printed in large type for easier reading. It includes information about new airport security measures, passenger drop-off and pick-up locations, parking, ground transportation, airport facilities and services, airline services, information services, general travel tips and contact information. The brochure provides travelers tips on carrying medication and supplies such as syringes, making connecting flights, and where to direct passenger comments.

An electronic version of the disabilities brochure is on LAX's Internet website at www.lawa.org; click on "LAX," then "Passenger Services." Travelers, travel agencies and corporate travel offices can request copies of "A Guide for Individuals with Disabilities" by calling LAX Public Relations at (310) 646-5260 or by sending e-mail to spalmer@lawa.org.
