UPDATED MEDIA ADVISORY: CENTURY BOULEVARD ROAD WORK, NEAR LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, BRINGS LANE CLOSURES MAY 31, JUNE 1

 

 

WHAT: Construction crews will close traffic lanes on Century Boulevard, adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport, May 31 and June 1, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastbound traffic on Century Boulevard will be restricted to one lane from Sepulveda to Airport Boulevards May 31. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction from Sepulveda to Airport Boulevards on June 1. The closure hours will affect the northbound lanes of the tunnel and the airport's upper and lower level Century Boulevard exits. The Los Angeles City Public Works Street Services Division is resurfacing the east and westbound lanes of Century Boulevard, between Sepulveda and Airport Boulevards.
WHEN: There are two periods of lane closures, depending on the day of the week. These are:
  1. Friday, May 31, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., three lanes eastbound.

     

  2. Saturday, June 1, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., three lanes east and westbound.

    Southbound exiting airport traffic should use the Southbound Sepulveda exit from LAX. Incoming airport traffic should use Sepulveda and LaTijera Boulevards to reach LAX to avoid traffic congestion.
