LOS ANGELES AND ONTARIO AIRPORTS CONTINUE UPWARD TREND

Total passenger volume increased 11 percent to 5,988,269 passengers for the month, airport officials reported. International passengers increased 13 percent in July, compared with the same month last year. Domestic traffic was up 10.3 percent.

“The robust passenger traffic recovery continues at LAX,” said Kim Day, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) interim executive director. “We are on track to finish the year above the 60-million passenger level for the first time since 2001. This is good news for the airport, the City and the Southern California economy.”
