LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS APPOINTS JEROME COPELAN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

 

(Los Angeles, California – June 24, 2004) Jerome A. Copelan has been appointed deputy executive director-business development by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA).

Copelan will oversee all leasing and concession activities for the four airports comprising LAWA: Los Angeles International, Ontario International, Van Nuys and Palmdale Regional. He will report to LAWA Chief Operating Officer Paul Green.

 

"We are delighted to have recruited Jerry Copelan to LAWA," said LAWA Interim Executive Director Kim Day. "We believe he is the ideal executive to help us achieve our goal of maximizing revenues through new and increased business development opportunities at our airports."

Prior to joining LAWA, Copelan served as director-legal and administration at the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, which operates Bob Hope Airport. He previously was director-properties for Hertz Corporation, properties and facilities director for Qantas Airways, Ltd., and director-airport properties for San Francisco International Airport.

Copelan earned a law degree from Armstrong School of Law in Berkeley, Calif. He is a licensed real estate broker and member of the California State Bar Association. He resides in Redondo Beach, Calif.
