ROTHENBERG AND VELASCO LEAD BOARD OF AIRPORT COMMISSIONERS

(Los Angeles, California – October 3, 2005) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today completed the election of its officers by selecting Valeria C. Velasco as vice president. Today’s action follows the Sept. 14 election of Alan Rothenberg as president.

Sports entrepreneur Rothenberg and estate planning attorney Velasco -- along with five other board members -- were confirmed by the Los Angeles City Council last month. The other members are Joseph A. Aredas, Michael A. Lawson, Sylvia Reyes-Patsaouras, Fernando Torres-Gil and Walter Zifkin.

The Board also decided to continue holding regular public meetings on the first and third Mondays of each month at 1:30 p.m.
