LAX AIRPORT POLICE “WE RIDE FOR THOSE WHO DIED” POLICE UNITY TOUR 2006
Law Enforcement officers from all over the nation participated in the Police Unity Tour 2006. The tour consisted of over 400 officer’s riding bicycles over 300 miles from Florham NJ to Washington D.C. over a four day period, to honor all fallen officers killed in the line of duty in 2005.
Los Angeles Airport Police had 10 officers who participated in the ride this year. Officer’s Shawna Smith, Michael Dear, Sofia Gallegos, Michael Woodard, Belinda Nettles, Peter Trance, Loretta Jones, Efren Orlanes, Sergeant Robert Rios and Captain LaPonda Fitchpatrick. Many other California agencies also participated in the ride.
