MICHAEL MOLINA APPOINTED LAWA SENIOR DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
(Los Angeles, California - March 24, 2008) Michael Molina has been appointed Senior Director of Government Affairs for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). Announcement of Molina’s appointment was made by LAWA Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey.
In this position, Molina is responsible for coordinating all of LAWA’s legislative activities and serving as liaison with local, state and federal-elected officials. In addition, he will work with the Government Affairs Division to collectively manage LAWA’s interaction with a broad spectrum of governmental agencies.
Prior to coming to LAWA, Molina held the position of chief of staff for 15th District Councilwoman Janice Hahn, chair of the City Council’s Trade, Commerce and Tourism Committee.
“Mike’s work at City Hall has helped shape numerous important City Council initiatives,” said Lindsey. “His leadership over the course of the past seven years has the distinction of being acknowledged by both the business and labor communities.”
