- - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - - PARTIAL CLOSURE OF CURBSIDE INNER LANE AT TOM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL SCHEDULED AT LAX

(Los Angeles, California – June 11, 2009) Los Angeles International Airport(LAX) officials advise motorists and passengers that portions of the sidewalk on the Lower Arrivals Level in front of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) will be closed due to construction June 12 to September 30, 2009.  This will result in the closure of the vehicle lane closest to the sidewalk to facilitate pedestrians as they make their way between TBIT and Terminals 3 and 4.

This work will be completed in three phases, with the first phase on the north side between Terminal 3 and TBIT. The phasing will help minimize disruptions while ensuring convenient passenger access to TBIT.  Passengers are advised to allow extra time for minor traffic congestion. Travelers can also be picked up in front of Terminals 3 or 4 in order to avoid the area.

This project is part of the current $751.5 million renovation of the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
