LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE LAUNCHES REVAMPED WEBSITE
(Los Angeles, California – August 10, 2012) Los Angeles Airport Police today launched its newly revamped website at WWW.LAWA.ORG/AIRPORTPOLICE .The user-friendly site provides visitors with comprehensive information so they may gain an understanding of Airport Police operations at Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAWA’s) three Southern California airports: Los Angeles International (LAX), LA/Ontario International (ONT) and Van Nuys (general aviation).
Visitors to the site will find information about the Airport Police Recruitment Unit and the hiring process; Lost and Found units at each airport where they may check on lost items; crime statistics; the recently implemented cadet program; and descriptions for the types of duties performed by Airport Police officers assigned to a wide range of operational units, including: Patrol, Motor, Bike, Canine, Traffic, Detective, Dignitary Protection, Crime Scene Investigation, Security, etc. Also provided is biographic information about the Los Angeles World Airports Deputy Executive Director of Homeland Security and Law Enforcement, the Chief of Police and command officers.
