LOW-COST FLYAWAY® BUS SERVICE BETWEEN LAX AND VAN NUYS ORANGE LINE BUSWAY BEGINS DECEMBER 7

A new, low-cost FlyAway® bus service boarding location for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on the south side of Victory Boulevard just east of Woodley Avenue, is scheduled to begin operation on Monday, December 7. The stop is located just a short distamce from the existing Woodley station along the Orange Line Busway, in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Lake Balboa.

This new FlyAway® location allows existing Van Nuys FlyAway® buses to pick up passengers transferring from the Orange Line Busway without significantly deviating from their current route. It therefore allows another option for San Fernando Valley residents to reach LAX without having to drive to the airport or to the existing FlyAway® terminal in Van Nuys.

The Orange Line will depart the Orange Line Busway station at 7 minutes after the hour between 4 a.m. and 11 p.m. daily. Buses departing LAX begin at 4:45 a. m., then every hour on the hour from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Earlier this year, the Board of Airport Commissioners approved a one-way fare of $8 for the LAX FlyAway® service to or from the existing Van Nuys station located at the intersection of Saticoy Boulevard and Woodley Avenue, or from this new Orange Line Busway site with an increase to $9 beginning January 1, 2016.

Passengers leaving LAX may board buses on the Lower/Arrivals Level in front of each terminal under the green "FlyAway® Buses and Long Distance Vans" sign. Each bus is marked with its service location.
