LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WELCOMES QATAR AIRWAYS TO LOS ANGELESWITH LAUNCH OF DAILY FLIGHTS TO DOHA, QATAR
(Los Angeles, California – May 4, 2015) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will welcome Qatar Airways to Los Angeles with the launch of daily flights between Los Angeles and Doha, Qatar , on January 1, 2016 , with the airline’s flagship Boeing 777 aircraft featuring a two-class cabin with 42 Business Class fully lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration.
“We are honored Qatar Airways chose LAX as its U.S. West Coast debut for this new, historic service ,” said Los Angeles World Airports Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey. “This is the type of quality air service we want to keep attracting to LAX.”
“We look forward to offering a great travel experience to our U.S. passengers on the World’s Best Business Class across our network of more than 140 destinations, with a convenient one-stop transfer at the new state-of-the-art Hamad International Airport in Doha,” said Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker.
Qatar Airways will operate at the new Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) , where passengers will experience a world-class terminal featuring premierdining with local flavors , a wide variety of specialty and duty-free retail shopping, work stations and boarding gate seating with electrical outlets, entertaining Interactive Integrated Environmental Media Systems, stream-lined arrivals process, bright and modern design, and more.
Qatar Airways is renowned for its on-board experience and commitment to service quality – ranking two years straight as Best in Business Class and also being named the World’s Best Airline in 2011 and 2012 at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
