LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AWARDED BEST FOOD AND BEVERAGE PROGRAM FOR TOM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL AT 2015 ACI-NA EXCELLENCE IN AIRPORT CONCESSIONS AWARDS

 

Airport receives four awards overall highlighting dining offerings for travelers

 

            (Los Angeles, California – April 23, 2015)  Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) awarded Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Best Food and Beverage Program for the new Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) for Large Airport, including three additional awards at the 2015 ACI-NA Excellence in Airport Concessions Awards. 

            “ACI-NA’s Airport Concessions Awards highlights the innovation and leadership demonstrated across the airport concessions industry, and we’re delighted to showcase the best products and services available to air travelers throughout North America,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke.

            “The goal with all of our new concessions has been to focus on putting “the L.A. back into LAX” by replicating the very best of LA’s diverse cuisine, culture and lifestyle in the retail and food and beverage offerings for our guests,” said Los Angeles World Airports Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey.

This year’s Awards received more than 300 nominations from airports of all sizes throughout the U.S. and Canada. LAX was awarded in the following categories:

            Best Food and Beverage Program – Large Airport:

·         First Place: Tom Bradley International Terminal

 

Best New Food and Beverage (Quick-Service Concept): 

·         First Place: Farmers Market (Terminal 5)

·         Second Place: Real Food Daily (Terminal 4)

 

            Best Innovative Consumer Experience Concept or Practice:

·         First Place: Tasting Bar by DFS Group

 

            Dining concessions in new TBIT’s Great Hall offer travelers from around the world a premier dining collection curated by Westfield and the DFS Group. Currently under construction, Westfield will debut a new experience comprised of 17 new dining and retail destinations, cutting-edge design, and amenities in TBIT’s departures and arrivals areas in 2015.

            Westfield and partners are also transforming the traveler experience at Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 6 with a sophisticated dining collection currently under construction and opening in phases this year.
