NORTHBOUND SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD TUNNEL REDUCED TO ONE LANE TONIGHT: PASSENGERS ADVISED TO ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH LAX
(Los Angeles, California – April 27, 2016)Caltrans has notified airport officials that two northbound lanes of Sepulveda Boulevard from Imperial Highway through the Sepulveda Tunnel near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will close Wednesday night (tonight), April 27, beginning at 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 28. All lanes of southbound Sepulveda Boulevard through the tunnel will remain open. Airport officials advise passengers to allow extra time to reach LAX.
The lane closure is due to Caltrans completing repair of a damaged culvert.
The I-105 exit to northbound Sepulveda Boulevard will remain open. Motorists heading toward LAX from the south and east can also use Century Boulevard to reach the Central Terminal Area. Access to LAX is also available via the 96th Street bridge and from southbound Sepulveda Boulevard.
