(Los Angeles, California – January 18, 2017) Looking for stars at LAX? You can find their images on curbside columns in the Central Terminal Area (CTA) of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). In a special partnership with The Recording Academy and its annual GRAMMY Awards, multiple high-visibility columns have been wrapped with this year’s GRAMMY theme, featuring images of some of today’s biggest recording artists as a unique welcome to Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world. “We are thrilled to work with The Recording Academy and the GRAMMYs to bring more ‘LA into LAX,’” said Deborah Flint, chief executive officer of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). “People come to Los Angeles hoping to see celebrities and this new installation ensures that when our guests travel through LAX, they get some of that LA vibe.” With the theme of Believe in Music, five different images from the GRAMMYs invite travelers to do just that. The images are eight feet high, and are displayed on 15 of the airport’s most high-impact columns around LAX’s horseshoe roadway on the Lower Level. “We want to welcome visitors from around the world by celebrating the positive power of music…reminding people of music’s ability to lift our spirits,” explains Evan Greene, chief marketing officer of The Recording Academy. “The world is a heavy place these days, so this campaign illustrates, in a light-hearted way, how music makes believers of us all.
