–TRAFFIC ADVISORY–
LOS ANGELES BUREAU OF STREET SERVICES RESURFACING PROJECT TO IMPACT TRAFFIC ON SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD BETWEEN 76th/77th STREET AND 84th PLACE

(Los Angeles, California – July 24, 2017)  Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) shared that, starting today, the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services (BSS) will be working on Sepulveda Boulevard, from 76th / 77th Street to 84th Place, and continuing throughout the week. The public is advised to use Kentwood Avenue, South La Tijera Boulevard, or other alternative routes.

“The last thing we want is for travelers to be late for their flight, or under undue stress due to known traffic impacts,” said LAWA Deputy Executive Director of External Affairs Trevor Daley.  “We hope that all visitors to LAX will give themselves ample time to get to the airport and on to their gates.  Advanced planning is doubly important when construction or road work is scheduled in and around LAX, which is why we recommend getting to the airport two hours before the listed boarding time for a domestic flight, and three hours before an international flight.”

Hours for the resurfacing project are:

7 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday, July 24-28; and

6 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 29.

BSS will cold-plane and resurface the street, causing traffic to be restricted to one lane in each direction, Monday to Friday, during scheduled working hours. Travelers are advised to check traffic conditions before heading to the airport. Airport traffic and construction updates can be found on LAWA social media at @FlyLAXairport on Twitter, or at http://www.http:/www.lawa.org.
