Commute Programs

commuteLAX Transit Pass Program

Through the commuteLAX Transit Pass Program, participants pay just $20 per month for a TAP card that allows them to use services offered by Metro (including Micro), Culver City Bus, Big Blue Bus, DASH, G-Trans, and Torrance Transit to get to and from work.

Transit Trip Planning

Want to leave your car at home and take the bus or train but don’t know where to start? Sign into Altitude LAX with your badge information, click Mobility, then enter your workplace to find your best transit route to work Alternatively, complete an Interest Form and we’ll help you find the best route to work.


Carpool

Do you drive to work with a co-worker and park in the Employee Lots? Apply for the commuteLAX Carpool Program with your carpool partner to receive a 50% discount on the monthly parking pass and pay only $30 a month.  for a pass that typically costs $60.

Carpooling is a great way to save money and gas, get to work faster, and reduce the wear-and-tear of your vehicle. Studies have shown that carpooling, compared to driving alone, has its personal benefits - from forming friendships, potential career opportunities, and improved health.


Vanpool

The LAWA Vanpool Program has 64 routes coming from all over Southern California. Vans are open to all LAWA and LAX employees and the public. Employees can seek assistance with finding a vanpool through LAWA's Vanpool Program or Metro's Vanpool Program.


Bike to Work

Employees can receive assistance with finding a bike route to work, and information on bike lockers.

The LAX/Metro station connecting to both the C and K Lines offers bicycle parking, making it easier for LAX employees to bike the first/last mile of their commute and store their bike.


Preferential Parking

In some employee parking lots, Vanpools and Carpools will receive preferential parking near the shuttle stops.


Guaranteed Ride Home

Employees enrolled in commuteLAX can be reimbursed for up to two rides home per year through Metro's Guaranteed Ride Home Program.


Metro Micro

Metro Micro is an on-demand shuttle service where you can schedule trips at your convenience via a mobile app.
TAP users pay 2.50 per ride and can use stored value on their TAP card to pay for trips. Micro trips are included in the Transit Pass offered by commuteLAX.
Service hours are 7 days/week, 5 am to 9 am.


Iride

Inglewood, funded by LAWA, provides an on-demand shuttle service for LAX employees who are Inglewood and Lennox residents living in zip codes: 90301, 90302, 90303, 90304, and 90305.

Since 2021, LAX employees have used Iride to get to work quickly, safely, and for free. For more information on the Iride program, click here.
