Add/Delete Vehicle

Each commercial vehicle must have a current permit and active LAX issued transponder affixed to the vehicle in the manner prescribed by LAWA. Vehicle permits and transponders are not transferable or assignable.

We are currently experiencing a high volume of requests and processing time may be extend beyond 21 days.

To add a vehicle:

  1. Complete a service request at http://lax.to/GTVehicleAddDelete.

    Documents must be approved by GT staff and the operator must have:

    • Active CPUC status
    • Vehicle must be on the CPUC account
    • Approved insurance and on the vehicle schedule
    • Properly displayed TCP #s on the vehicle, as required
    • All fees paid; each new transponder requires $50 use fee
    • The number of vehicles may not exceed the number of members/owners
    • You must have worker’s comp insurance to add more vehicles than member/owners.


To delete a vehicle:
Complete a service request at http://lax.to/GTVehicleAddDelete and return transponder and vehicle permit.

  • Sticker-style transponder: Cut the old vehicle transponder sticker in half, then upload a photo of the cut sticker transponder. Make sure to completely remove the metal antenna portion from the windshield.
  • Box-style vehicle transponder: Put the old transponder in an envelope labeled with the company name and TCP number, then place the envelope in the drop box in the main lobby of 7301 World Way West, Mon-Fri, 7:30am to 3:30pm.


Replacement permit and/or transponder
Windshield replaced? Complete a service request at http://lax.to/GTVehicleAddDelete to get the transponder replaced. Bring the old transponder and a copy of the vehicle DMV registration to the appointment.

 


 




Annual Re-decal

Re-decal is processed online only – no walk-ins.

Watch for an email from LAWA Ground Transportation to begin your re-decal application. Please be sure to check your spam and auto delete folders. Upon submission of your online re-decal application, GT staff will review, upon approval you will receive an email to review document and pay fees.

Fees & Payments

All TCP Operators must enroll in the online account (OLA) billing and payment program to continue their authority to operate at LAX. OLA allows the Operator to view their vehicle activity and manage their payments.  A minimum deposit is required on all accounts based on your circuit activity.  Fee processing is on a transactional basis.

Failure to enroll may result in suspension and/or termination of the NELA and authority to operate at LAX.

Operators and their drivers are responsible for knowing and abiding by the LAX Ground Transportation Rules and Regulations. Violations may result in citation and vehicle impound.
