• Status on FAA IFP Gateway Request process to redesign the VNY satellite-based departure procedures:
• February 20, 2025, FAA publishes revised RNAV departure procedures for HARYS, ROSCOE, WLKKR for VNY Runway 16R southerly jet departures. (Note: the copies of flight procedures provided herein are specific to the February 20, 2025 FAA publication only and are subject to change, for reference only and should not be used for navigational or other purposes.)
• February 20, 2025, LAWA and Councilmember Nithya Raman Announce Publication of Revised Southerly RNAV Departure Procedures for VNY
• July 18, 2024, LAWA CEO Update to Board of Airport Commissioners sharing FAA’s expected publication date of 12/26/24 for revised RNAV departure procedures
• September 12, 2023, FAA responded to LAWA letter noting cause for the December 2024 delayed publication date and expected implementation timeline
• August 8, 2023, LAWA CEO sent a letter to FAA expressing deep concern over the delay in publication date
• September 27, 2022, FAA provided a follow-up response to LAWA regarding the review process of the proposed VNY departures redesign
• August 16, 2022, LAWA CEO provided an update to Los Angeles City Council members
• August 5, 2022, FAA responded to LAWA letter noting no change in the environmental review schedule or priority
• June 7, 2022, LAWA CEO sent a letter to FAA requesting higher prioritization of the environmental review to ensure the integrity of the January 2024 publication date

• On October 6, 2021, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) asked the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to move forward with the flight procedure redesign process that was recommended by the Southern San Fernando Valley Airplane Noise Task Force.
