LAX RAMPS AT CENTURY AND SEPULVEDA BOULEVARDS TO CLOSE NIGHTLY FOR PEOPLE MOVER CONSTRUCTION

Activity:

Nightly closures (12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.) on the northbound ramp at Century and Sepulveda Boulevards (map 1) will be implemented to mobilize equipment and perform construction activities to prepare to construct a Cast-In-Drilled Hole (CIDH) foundation at this location. During the closures, travelers will detour the area using 96th Street. Following the completion of the CIDH foundation, these same closures will be implemented to allow the equipment to be removed from this location.
 
The first CIDH in this location will be constructed Aug. 19-21. During the CIDH installation a single lane closure will be required at all times (map 2). Through traffic will be maintained during this work.

Aug. 21 (12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.): During the first foundation’s concrete pour, travelers exiting LAX via Upper World Way South will be detoured around the closures using Circle Way to exit the Central Terminal Area.
