WEEKEND LANE AND SIDEWALK RESTRICTIONS ON WESTBOUND CENTURY BLVD. BETWEEN AND NEAR AVION DR. AND JETWAY BLVD.

Activity:

To facilitate roadway paving related to the Automated People Mover project, westbound lanes on Century Blvd. between and near Avion Dr. and Jetway Blvd. will be restricted beginning Friday, May 31 at 10 p.m. through Monday, June 3 at 10 p.m. (72-hour closure).

Westbound traffic will be maintained at all times. To help facilitate the flow of traffic, the two left turn lanes from eastbound Century Blvd. to northbound Avion Dr. and U-turn toward LAX will also be closed; this traffic will be detoured to Airport Blvd., and all other eastbound traffic will be maintained.

During this work, the sidewalk along westbound Century Blvd. at the intersection of future Jetway Blvd. will be closed Friday, May 31 at 10 p.m. through Sunday, June 2 at 2 a.m. (28-hour closure). While the sidewalk is closed, pedestrians will be detoured via Vicksburg Ave., 98th St. and Avion Dr.

Please note: Jetway Blvd. is a future private street and is not yet open or accessible.

Traffic will be maintained at all times. Access to LAX, local businesses and driveways will be maintained at all times. Flaggers and signage will be in place to facilitate local access and detours. Please plan ahead for potential delays, always observe posted signage, remain alert and use caution when traveling near construction areas.
