NEW ART INSTALLATIONS BY LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTISTS WELCOME HOLIDAY TRAVELERS AT LAX

(Los Angeles) As passengers travel through Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) this holiday season, they will experience an inspiring range of new artworks by ten artists in nine installations across Terminals 1, 3, 7 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Presented by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)'s Art Program, the new exhibitions complement recently opened and refreshed terminal spaces while showcasing the vibrancy of LA through sculpture, painting, photography, murals and multimedia. Together, these featured installations offer views of the city, whether from a bird's eye perspective or through intimate portraits of those who call Los Angeles their home.

(Los Angeles and Van Nuys, CA) — On Saturday, Dec. 9, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Van Nuys Airport (VNY) hosted community Santa Fly-In events that were a great success — each attracting over 500 enthusiastic attendees of all ages for a day filled with celebrations, entertainment and giving back to the community. The events were made possible by partnerships with the Westchester Family YMCA and the Mid Valley Family YMCA, and helped support the organizations’ annual holiday toy drives.

THANKSGIVING TRAVEL AT LAX EXPECTS TO DRAW UP TO 2.5 MILLION PASSENGERS TO THE AIRPORT

(Los Angeles, CA) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is expecting a Thanksgiving travel period with up to 2.5 million passengers using the airport from Nov. 16 through Nov. 20, and more than 92,000 vehicles on peak travel days. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and pre-book parking in the newly opened LAX Budget Parking facility, LAX Economy Parking, or other official airport parking lots.
