Runway 6L-24R Continuous Closure: November 18, 2024 at 0030PDT to November 21, 2024 at 1230PDT

Runway 6L-24R will be closed for 84 continuous hours starting on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 0030 PDT, and will be reopened Thursday November 21, 2024 at 1230 PDT. Airlines that operate ADG VI type aircraft (A380 and B747-8) can expect Runway 24L and Runway 25L for arrivals and departures while Runway 6L-24R is closed.

LAX Standard Taxi Route Name Changes

Two of the LAX Standard Taxi Routes that Air Traffic Control assigns have changed names. The old West Route is now known as the Sunset Route and the old Bridge Route is now theCoastal Route. Please note, the routes have not changed, just the names.

Runway 6R-24L & Taxiway Z Continuous Closure: October 21, 2024 at 0030 PDT to October 24, 2024 at 1230 PDT

Taxiway Z between Runway 6L-24R and Taxiway E is scheduled to close for 60 continuous hours starting on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 0030 PDT and will be reopened Wednesday October 23, 2024 at 1230 PDT.

Runway 6R-24L will be closed for 84 continuous hours also starting on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 0030 PDT, but will be reopened Thursday October 24, 2024 at 1230 PDT.

Runway 6R-24L & Taxiway Y Continuous Closure: 10/7/24 at 0030L to 10/9/24 at 1230L

Runway 6R-24L and Taxiway Y between Runway 6L-24R and Taxiway E are scheduled to close for 60 hours starting on Monday, October 07, 2024 at 0030 PDT through Wednesday, October 09, 2024 at 1230 PDT.

Extended Taxiway B Closure: September 28, 2024 at 0100L to September 29, 2024, at 1700L

To facilitate repaving a section of Taxiway B, LAWA Airport Operations and Maintenance have planned a 40-hour extended closure of Taxiway B to replace three sections of concrete with an asphalt overlay. Taxiway B, between Taxiways J & K, is scheduled to close on Saturday, September 28^th at 0100 (PDT) and reopen on Sunday, September 29^th at 1700 (PDT).

Runway 6R-24L & Taxiway Y Continuous Closure for Construction Activities

Runway 6R-24L and Taxiway Y between Runway 6L-24R and Taxiway E are scheduled to close on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 0030 PDT through Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 1630 PDT. This runway and taxiway closure is required to support removal and replacement of taxiway centerline lights on Runway 24L at Taxiway Y for the North Airfield Exit Taxiways (NAET) Project.

Extended Closures of Taxiway C9: September 6-8th

Sully-Miller will be repairing a section of concrete south of Taxiway C centerline at Taxiway C9. This repair will require an extended 64-hour closure of Taxiway C9 between Taxiway B and Taxiway C. The Taxilane C9 alleyway will be closed nightly from 0100-0530L. During this period, aircraft will be unable to enter or exit the alleyway and Gate 57 will only be available for a hardstand.

Vehicle Service Road F Pavement Rehabilitation 8/18 through 8/30

Between Sunday, August 18th, and Friday, August 30th, Vehicle Service Road F (VSR F), north of Post 4, will undergo a pavement rehabilitation and refresh of the VSR markings. Lane closures are required during work hours; however, one lane will always remain open for vehicle traffic to transition north/south. There will be no impact to Post 4 operations.

Taxiway D Restricted Between Taxiways D8 & D7

With the temporary construction closure of Taxiway E between Taxiways D8 and D10, aircraft taxiing to Runway 24L/24R for departure are being routed around the closure and onto Taxiway D. Aircraft with a wingspan greater than 157 feet are prohibited on Taxiway D between Taxiways D8 and D7 and so these aircraft must turn left on Taxiway D8 and rejoin Taxiway E.

Taxiway E & Taxiway D10 Extended Daytime Closures - June 15th, June 29th, July 13th, 2024 (0030 - 1600L)

LAWA will be removing and repaving an asphalt pavement section of Taxiway E10 between Runway 24L-6R and Taxiway E. This work requires Saturday extended closures (15.5 hours) of Taxiway E, between Taxiways T and D9 and Taxiway D10 between Taxiways D and E.

Saturday 06/15/2024 (0030 - 1600L)
Saturday 06/29/2024 (0030 - 1600L)
Saturday 07/13/2024 (0030 - 1600L)

POST 4 - LONG TERM CLOSURE FOR URGENT FACILITY REPAIRS: Monday, May 20, 2024 (0600) through Monday, July 1, 2024 (0600)

To enable urgent facility repairs, Post 4 (10901 Aviation Boulevard) will be closed from Monday, May 20, 2024 at 0600 until Monday, July 1, 2024 at 0600.

Effective 5/16/24: Taxiway AA becomes Taxiway Y and Taxiway BB becomes Taxiway Z

Tow and taxi crews that are transitioning to and from the Remote Gates are advised that due to the taxiway name changes, the use of the terms "West Route" and "Bridge Route" when referring to LAX Taxi Routes may or may not be used by Air Traffic Control until all publications are appropriately updated.
