Taxiway A Closure Between Taxiway A6 and South Pad 1 for Pavement Repair.

July 14, 2023 (0030 - 0830L)
July 19, 2023 (0030 - 0830L)

Project Overview:

A section of pavement on Taxiway A between Taxiway A6 and cargo parking spot South Pad 1 requires repairs.  To facilitate these repairs, Taxiway A is scheduled to close on July 14, 2023 and again on July 19, 2023.  The duration of both closures is eight (8) hours beginning at 0030L, with re-opening planned for 0830L.

Operational Impacts

During the closure hours (0030 - 0830L), there will be no ADG VI parking available at West Imperial Terminal parking spots B & C, or South Pad 2.  However, parking will be available for ADG VI at ICC 7A, 8A, Korean Cargo Spot 2 and Singapore Cargo Spot 1.

During Over Ocean Operations (0001 - 0630L) FAA ATCT will route ADG VI Cargo B747-8 aircraft arrivals to Runway 7R, weather permitting.

ADG VI Cargo B747-8 aircraft arriving during Westerly Operations (0630 - 0830L) will be instructed by the FAA ATCT to back-taxi on either Runway 25L or 25R around the Taxiway A closure to get to their assigned parking spot, east of the closure area.

Aircraft departing from cargo parking at South Pad 1, can expect to be instructed to push-back tail east onto Taxiway A and tow west abeam South Pad 2 for disconnect and engine start.

Please expect longer taxi times and potential delays due to the Taxiway A closure and additional cargo aircraft crossing and possibly back-taxiing via the South Complex runways.

Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs) have been issued for the scheduled closures. Please plan flight operations accordingly and check current NOTAMs at  https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notam.  Search for current airfield operating conditions.
