Advisory: 2023-26

December 8, 2023
Special Helicopter Operations
December 13th & 15th

We would like to make all airport users aware of some unusual helicopter operations that will take place on December 13th and 15th on Taxiways “A” and “F”, and Runways 7R/25L and 7L/25R. The operations will be conducted only if the weather permits and are in conjunction with a filming project at the Airport.

On December 13th, helicopter operations will be conducted above the LAX terminal complex in order to film the CTA, and will briefly overfly the airfield under close coordination with the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT). The helicopter will then descend and capture footage on several taxiways as well as Runway 7L/25R between approximately 1400L and 1730L.  The helicopter will be maintaining contact and clearance from the ATCT and all required separation from aircraft and airport activities will be maintained throughout the operation.

On December 15th, helicopter filming activity will occur on Runway 7R/25L between the hours of 0200L and 0530L, again in coordination with the ATCT.

Helicopter operations may be observed in the highlighted areas on the dates and times noted.
