(0030 - 1600L)

Project Overview:

The LAWA Asphalt & Paving Crew will be removing and repaving an asphalt pavement section of Taxiway E10 between Runway 24L-6R and Taxiway E.  This work requires Saturday extended closures (15.5 hours) of Taxiway E, between Taxiways T and D9 and Taxiway D10 between Taxiways D and E. The work has been phased in a manner that the Taxiway E and Taxiway D10 closures occur on Friday night into Saturday afternoon.

Planned Taxiway E & Taxiway D10 Closure Dates:
  • Saturday 06/15/2024 (0030 - 1600L)
  • Saturday 06/29/2024 (0030 - 1600L)
  • Saturday 07/13/2024 (0030 - 1600L)
Please note that the dates above may shift based on the weather forecast and conditions.

Operational Impacts:
  • There are no planned closures of Taxiway D during the  extended Taxiway E & Taxiway D10 closure dates.
  • Expect additional traffic on Taxiway D as aircraft are routed around the Taxiway E and Taxiway D10 closures.
  • During the busier periods of the day, please anticipate minor delays with aircraft push-back onto Taxiway D.
  • Please anticipate longer than the the normal push-back and the potential for FAA Air Traffic Control Tower to instruct crews to push back into Taxilanes D7, D8, D9 and D10, as needed to keep Taxiway D available for aircraft to transition.
Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs) have been issued for the scheduled closures. Please plan flight operations accordingly and check current NOTAMs at https://notams.aim.faa.gov/notamSearch for current airfield operating conditions.
