Taxiway B Pavement Rehabilitation

Start: September 28, 2024 at 0100

Finish: September 29, 2024 at 1700

(Note all times are Pacific Daylight Time)

To facilitate repaving a section of Taxiway B, LAWA Airport Operations and Maintenance have planned a 40-hour extended closure of Taxiway B to replace three sections of concrete with an asphalt overlay. Taxiway B, between Taxiways J & K, is scheduled to close on Saturday, September 28th at 0100 (PDT) and reopen on Sunday, September 29th at 1700 (PDT).

Repairs are being made to portions of the concrete pavement, estimated at 1,500 sq. ft. The bulk of the rehabilitation will take place overnight on Saturday, September 28th. After repairs are complete, the area will remain closed to allow the new asphalt overlay the time required to cure. Some minor markings restoration will also take place.

Taxiway C will remain open for aircraft to transition around the Taxiway B closure. Taxiway J exiting to the north from Runway 25R will also remain open. Taxiway K west of the Taxiway B closure also remains open.
