Runway 6R-24L Continuous Closure
for Construction Activities
Start: February 18, 2025 at 0030 PST
Finish: February 20, 2025 at 1630 PST
(Pacific Standard Time)
Runway 6R-24L will be closed for 64 continuous hours starting on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 0030 PST and is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 1630 PST.
There are several taxiway closures associated with this continuous runway closure listed below:
Taxiway E closed between Taxiways D7 and E6.
Taxiways E6, E7 and E8 closed between Runway 6R-24L and Taxiway E.
Taxiway S closed between Runway 6L-24R and Taxiway E.
Runways 6L-24R, 7L-25R, and 7R-25L will remain open, with the exception of nightly Runway 7R-25L closures 0030-0630 PST for scheduled maintenance.
Airlines that operate ADG VI type aircraft (A380 and B747-8) can expect Runway 25L for departures while Runway 24L is closed. Runway 25R will be available for B747-8 departures while Runway 25L is closed at night.
The runway and taxiway closures are required to support construction activities on Runway 6R-24L for the North Airfield Exit Taxiways (NAET) Project.
