FLYAWAY BUS TERMINAL OFFERS TRAVEL TIPS FOR UPCOMING HOLIDAYS
(Van Nuys, CA) - With the November and December holiday season right around the corner, a large volume of travelers is expected to use the FlyAway bus service as a low-cost, convenient transportation option from the San Fernando Valley to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Starting with Veterans Day on Saturday, Nov. 11, which will be observed on Friday, Nov. 10, there will be a succession of several long holiday weekends, including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s.
"Plan ahead is our advice to travelers, because the bus terminal will be a very popular location during these holiday periods," suggests Van Nuys Airport Manager Selena Birk. "The parking lot at the FlyAway could fill to capacity at least a day or two before the long weekends begin."
To avoid delays and traffic congestion, travelers should observe these suggestions:
- In case the parking lot is full, arrange to be dropped off at the terminal.
- For those drivers using the parking lot, use it as few days as possible to free up spaces for others. The parking fee is $2 per day. The maximum time limit for parked vehicles in the lot is 15 days. Call
(818) 994-5554 to find out if the parking lot is full.
- Allow extra time for possible delays due to traffic congestion and baggage check-in at LAX.
- Keep in mind there is no reserve seating on the bus.
The Van Nuys FlyAway bus terminal, located at 7610 Woodley Ave. at Saticoy Street, provides fast, scheduled transportation from Van Nuys to LAX.
