ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OPENS NEW PARKING LOT IN TIME FOR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY TRAVEL

Ontario, California (November 15, 2002) - Ontario International Airport (ONT) will open a new parking lot on November 18, providing an additional 2,200 parking spaces for travelers. Lot 5 will open just in time to accommodate the Thanksgiving holiday travel rush at ONT.

The new lot is located on Airport Drive, east of Terminal 4 between Lot 4 and the Ground Transportation Center, and is easily accessible from Archibald Avenue or Haven Ave. off the 10 Freeway. Lot 5 costs $3 each hour or portion thereof to a maximum of $9 per day.

"The new lot will alleviate parking overflow in Lot 4, especially now that the busy holiday travel season is approaching," said ONT Airport Manager Jens Rivera. "Lot 5 provides shuttle stops with bus shelters inside the lot, 24-hour shuttle service, disabled parking stalls next to the bus shelters, and pedicab service."

ONT's other long-term lots are Lots 2, 3, 4 and Economy Lot F. Lots 2 and 4 cost $3 each hour or portion thereof to a maximum of $12 per day. Lot 3 costs $3 each hour or portion thereof to a maximum of $9 per day. Lot F is free for the first two hours and costs $3 each two hours thereafter or portion thereof to a maximum of $6 per day. Free shuttle service is available from Lot F.

Hourly parking is available in short-term Lots 2 and 4. The lots' parking rates are designed to accommodate patrons visiting the airport for a short period and to minimize traffic congestion in front of the terminals. Short-term Lots 2 and 4 cost $1 each half-hour or portion thereof and have a two-hour time limit. Vehicles parked more than two hours will be charged a $24 overtime fee and may be subject to citation and/or impoundment at the owner's expense.

"Signs are posted at all of ONT's parking lot entrances and surrounding roadways informing the public of the airport's various parking options and rates," said Rivera.

ONT is located approximately 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. The airport is owned and operated by Los Angeles World Airports, a Los Angeles City department which also owns and operates Los Angeles International, Palmdale Regional and Van Nuys Airports.
