LAWA PLACES AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

(Los Angeles, California - September 3, 2002) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) asset managers are using its popular web site to attract potential real estate developers to leasing and development opportunities for its four airports.

LAWA believes its web site www.lawa.org offers the right venue to reach the widest possible audience for its undeveloped land, hangars and industrial buildings available for lease. The 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week availability created by the Internet will give these leasing and development opportunities global exposure. Each day LAWA's web site receives 189,000 "hits" or visits from information seekers.

"This approach is working well in the residential market, and we think its potential for the commercial and industrial sectors could be even greater. Aviation is an international business, with the potential of developers worldwide interested in the Southern California real estate marketplace. The Internet can instantly provide decision-makers the access to information about LAWA properties," said Ramon Olivares, manager of LAWA's Asset Marketing Section.

LAWA's airports, especially Ontario International (ONT) and Palmdale Regional (PMD), have hangars, buildings and large parcels of undeveloped land. Additionally, these airports can offer an even more rare commodity - direct airfield access - something crucial to any firm engaged in aviation.

Olivares said that while the web site also features leasing and development opportunities at Los Angeles and Van Nuys Airports, the City agency is focused on increasing awareness of opportunities at ONT and PMD.

Ontario International's potential for development comes from its strategic location 39 miles from Los Angeles' Downtown Business District and adjacent to a key transportation corridor. Palmdale Regional, on the other hand, offers prospective tenants Antelope Valley Trade Zone benefits, two 12,000-foot runways and acres of land ready for development.

The Leasing and Development Opportunities section of the web site is reached by clicking on the "Real Estate" button when the LAWA web site first opens. Prospective tenants will find airport profiles, aerial photos, city and community demographic information links, LAWA contact information and detailed property listings for the four airports. Panoramic photography is used to highlight interiors of hangars and buildings, and features of undeveloped land.

Olivares said his staff plans to track the visits or "hits" to the real estate section to further refine their marketing efforts.
