LOS ANGELES AIRPORT OPENS CYPERPORT CAFÉ WITH FREE CONNECTIVITY

(Los Angeles, California - April 8, 2002) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has announced the opening of Travel Right Café in Terminal 4 (American Airlines). The cyberport café and full-service food and beverage bar offers business and leisure travelers the freedom and convenience of staying connected worldwide.

The Travel Right Café is an upscale cocktail lounge and deli with tableside dataport jacks and electrical outlets that allow travelers to use their laptop computers on or off-line or re-charge cellular phones and personal digital assistants at no charge while they eat and drink.

"Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) strives to provide convenient information services for travelers on the go," said Ramon Olivares, chief of LAWA Concessions Management Division. "The Travel Right Café is our first concession at LAX that allows passengers to eat, drink and stay connected."

The Travel Right Café is managed by HMSHost of Bethesda, Maryland, in partnership with Bellevue, Washington-based Expedia Inc., operator of the Expedia.com Internet travel service. The café has 48 ports/phone jacks and electrical outlets accommodating up to 68 users. Customers with a toll-free or local "310" area code access number from their Internet Service Provider (ISP), such as America Online (AOL) or Microsoft Network (MSN), can make the connection for free although they must pay their ISP customary per-minute fees, if any.

The Travel Right Café's menu includes sandwiches and salads from Boudin's

Sourdough Bakery, chili, and California Roll and new Veggie Roll sushi. Soft drinks, coffee, along with a full range of premium brand cocktails, beers and wine complement the menu.

The Travel Right Café is another business-related convenience offered by LAX to passengers during the past year. In addition to the new cyberport café, LAX also offers Internet office productivity and entertainment centers known as The Gate Escape at Terminals 7 and 8 (United Airlines) and the Tom Bradley International Terminal.
