LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS APPOINTS NEW MANAGERS FOR RESIDENTIAL ACQUISITION, PROJECT MANAGEMENT DIVISIONS

(Los Angeles, California - April 23, 2003) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) has appointed Intissar Durham to head its Project Management Division and Joyce Sloss to head its Residential Acquisition Division.

"Our two new division chiefs have a wealth of experience and knowledge about LAWA, have incorporated the concerns of our neighboring communities in their past projects, and have demonstrated capabilities in moving the organization forward as our four facilities address current and future challenges in the aviation industry," said LAWA Executive Director Lydia H. Kennard.

As manager of the Residential Acquisition Division, Sloss will be responsible for implementing LAWA's voluntary residential acquisition program available to owners of noise- impacted properties in the Manchester Square and Belford Avenue neighborhoods of Westchester. She will oversee a team of professionals that include real estate officers, a property manager and an administrative staff. On April 14, the Residential Acquisition Division moved to new offices at 5757 Century Boulevard. Sloss formerly served as manager of LAWA's Small Business & Job Opportunities Center, which is now managed by the LAX Community Relations Division.

As manager of the Project Management Division, Durham will be responsible for the administration of all design and construction projects at all four LAWA airports, including implementation of LAWA's Capital Improvement Program. She will oversee a staff of approximately 80 engineers, inspectors, surveyors and other technical and support staff. Durham previously managed LAWA's Residential Soundproofing Division, which will continue to report to her as a separate function within the Project Management Division.
