JETSGO OF CANADA CEASES OPERATIONS; LAX ADVISES PASSENGERS TO MAKE ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS BEFORE ARRIVING AT AIRPORT

(Los Angeles, California – March 11, 2005) Following an announcement by Jetsgo, a low-fare Canadian airline, that it had ceased operations late Thursday night, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) officials are advising all passengers who have purchased tickets for Jetsgo flights to contact their travel agency or make alternative arrangements BEFORE arriving at LAX. No Jetsgo staff is expected to be available to assist passengers at the airport. Airport officials also report that while this action will greatly inconvenience Jetsgo passengers, it is expected to have minor impact on LAX’s operations. Other Canadian and U.S. air carriers at LAX also provide air service to Toronto.

One inbound flight and one outbound were scheduled today. Jetsgo Flight No. 710 was scheduled to arrive from Toronto at 12:35 p.m. Flight No. 711 was scheduled to depart for Toronto at 1:40 p.m. with 155 passengers.

Jetsgo began three-times-a-week air service between LAX and Toronto on July 30, 2004. The airline operated at LAX’s Terminal 2 and used MD-80 aircraft with 165-seat capacity. A contracted company provided all of Jetsgo’s operations and ground-handling services at LAX.

Jetsgo passengers with comments, questions or complaints are advised to contact the Canadian Transportation Agency (equivalent to the U.S. Department of Transportation) by phone at 1-888-222-2592, by facsimile at 1-819-953-8353, or by e-mail at www.cta-otc.gc.ca.
