AIRPORT MASTER PLAN COMMUNITY FORUM SCHEDULED OCTOBER 25

 

(Los Angeles, California – October 15, 2007) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Master Plan Stakeholders are invited to attend the next LAX Master Plan Stakeholder Forum to be held on Thursday, October 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. The community forum will be held in the recreation center at Jesse Owens Community Regional Park, 9651 South Western Avenue, Los Angeles. Free parking is available on-site.

Airport representatives will provide updates on the overall status of the LAX Master Plan. Presentations will include the LAX Specific Plan Amendment Study process, the South Airfield Improvement Project, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Soundproofing Program and other upcoming projects.

LAWA representatives from its Soundproofing Program, Business and Job Resources Center and other programs will host resource tables to provide additional information and to answer specific questions on their areas of responsibility. Stakeholders will also have the opportunity to speak to a Noise Management Division representative and have access to LAX´s Internet-based Flight Tracking System.

If assistance for the hearing-impaired is required, please notify airport staff at least 72 hours prior to the event. The public forum will be conducted in English, with Spanish-language translation available.
