Convenient Cell Phone Waiting Lot Opens At LA/Ontario International Airport
(Ontario, California -- November 24, 2008) To help reduce vehicle traffic congestion in front of LA/Ontario International Airport’s (ONT) terminals, airport officials today announced the opening of a new 24-hour Cell Phone Waiting Lot. Motorists waiting for arriving passengers will be able to avoid making a series of loops past the terminals and around airport roadways by waiting in a 100-space parking lot, free of charge, located at 1940 E. Moore Way.
“A number of motorists have asked for convenient waiting areas close to the terminals where they can wait for a call on their cell phones,” said Jess Romo, ONT’s manager. “The new lot is part of ONT’s ongoing customer service enhancements while reducing traffic congestion in front of the terminals.”
Meeter/greeters can wait up to one hour at this lot for arriving passengers, which saves gas and possible frustration of driving around the airport until their party arrives.
- Vehicles in the Cell Phone Waiting Lot must be attended at all times.
- Customers should wait in the lot and not park on the street adjacent to the lot.
- One hour maximum waiting time.
