LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT EMPLOYEE WINS PINK’S “LAX INTERNATIONAL DOG” CONTEST IN ANTICIPATION OF FIRST PINK’S LOCATION AT LAX
(Los Angeles, California – November 10, 2009) Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa declared Timothy Ihle, a Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) employee, as the winner of the Pink’s “LAX International Dog” airport employee contest at Pink’s Hot Dogs in Hollywood in anticipation of the opening of the first-ever airport location at LAX. Ihle’s hot dog recipe will be a menu item at Pink’s when it opens at LAX’sTom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) in late 2009 or early 2010.
“LAX is delighted to add this legendary Hollywood eatery to the dining opportunities in Tom Bradley International Terminal,” said Gina Marie Lindsey, LAWA executive director. “Thanks to Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, by fall of 2009, everyone traveling through TBIT will have a chance to try a Pink’s hot dog as part of their airport experience.”

Ihle’s hot dog recipe includes chili, bacon, sauerkraut, shredded cheese, and chopped tomatoes. Best known for its savory Pink’s Famous Chili Dogs, Pink’s has occupied the same Hollywood location since 1939.
