LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT BRINGS HOLIDAY CHEER AND SANTA VISITS TO TRAVELERS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH

(Los Angeles, California – December 15, 2011)  Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) travelers will be treated to holiday cheer and special appearances by Santa throughout the terminals to bring a positive and friendly experience during the upcoming holiday travel period at one of the busiest airports.

“We hope this holiday cheer will alleviate the stress and anxiety some travelers often experience during the holiday travel period,” said Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey.  “As we build the future of LAX we hope what travelers will remember most is not the construction, but the people and moments that made their experience at the airport enjoyable.”

Holiday cheer will include choir performances by local middle schools (Thursday, Dec. 15, 5 p.m., T1); high schools (Friday, Dec. 16, 3 p.m., T1); choir groups (Thursday, Dec. 15, 7 p.m., T2 and Friday, Dec. 23, 1 p.m., T1); Azusa Pacific University (Friday, Dec. 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., all terminals, except T6); Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Choir (Tuesday, Dec. 20, 12 p.m., T4 boarding gate area and Thursday, Dec. 22, 12 p.m. Tom Bradley International Terminal).  All performances are in public areas of terminals (Lower/Arrivals Level) unless otherwise noted.

Travelers will also be treated to visits by Santa in terminals and volunteer LAWA employees wearing red vests will be roaming the terminals (Thursday, Dec. 22 and Friday, Dec. 23) assisting travelers.

Travelers can stay up-to-date on all holiday happenings at the airport via LAX’s Twitter LAX_Official with hashtag #HolidaysatLAX and Facebook page Los Angeles International Airport.
