DANCE TROUPE ENTERTAINS AT VAN NUYS FLYAWAY® BUS TERMINAL

(Los Angeles – May 23, 2011) -- Artist Anna B Scott and the VISCERA Performance Instigation Troupe held a dance performance today titled ‘Bout to Get On based on an ancient world creation myth. Rather than a traditional staged dance performance, the artists specialize in movement through space, responding to the terminal's environment, and audiences.

The performers, through interaction with the audience and performance space, descended upon the Van Nuys FlyAway® Bus Terminal continued their journey in life to express the emotions associated with their travels.

This event was made possible through the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Art Program in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. The goal of the Performing Arts Program at LAWA is to enhance the experience of travelers and staff of the Van Nuys FlyAway® through a variety of cultural performances.

The LAWA Art Program seeks to create pedestrian friendly amenities, vibrant public spaces, and to accentuate the overall service-oriented mission of the LAX FlyAway® through the performing arts.
