TWO NEW AIRPORT POLICE RECRUITS GRADUATE FROM LAPD ACADEMY

 

(Los Angeles, California – April 19, 2012)  Two new police recruits will join the ranks of Los Angeles Airport Police on April 20, 2012, following their graduation from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Academy Class 11-11 at Elysian Park. 

            The new officers are Craig Cdebaca and Ivan Cornejo.  They will be sworn in by Airport Police Chief Michael Hyams at the graduation ceremony.  Also attending the ceremony will be Airport Police Assistant Chief Brian Walker, Captain Latasha Wells-Amerson, Lieutenant Mario Patrick, and other Airport Police personnel. 

Chief Hyams said, “We are very proud to have new additions join the Airport Police family”.

 

            The Los Angeles Airport Police Division is the fourth largest law enforcement agency in Los Angeles County, with more than 1,100 law enforcement, security and staff personnel.  Airport Police is a division of Los Angeles World Airports, the City department that owns and operates three airports in Southern California:  Los Angeles International, LA/Ontario International and Van Nuys (general aviation).
