NO FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS AT LAX ON THURSDAY DUE TO SUPERSTORM SANDY

Officials at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) report no scheduled cancellation of any known flights to or from the East Coast on Thursday, November 1 due to weather conditions associated with Superstorm Sandy and its impact on airports in that area. They are quick to point out, however, that this number is fluid and subject to change at anytime. This report was compiled from summary data collected at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31.

As usual, departing passengers and motorists picking up arriving passengers with flights to and from LAX are advised to check with their airlines to verify flight schedules before coming to the airport.

The Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) website provides up-to-the-minute conditions at all U.S. airports at www.faa.gov , then click on “Airport Status and Delays.”  Status of all flights at LAX is available at www.lawa.org/fsw/default.aspx(subject to updates by airlines).
