LAX KICKS OFF SUMMER WITH FIRST-EVER CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAYS

Airport Staff to Showcase “LAX: The Forecast’s Bright!”

(Los Angeles, California – June 15, 2012)  To kick off summer, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will hold its first-ever Customer Appreciation Days themed “LAX: The Forecast’s Bright!” from Monday, June 18 through Friday, June 22, to thank its customers and celebrate the summer travel season.

LAX customers will encounter airport “frontline” staff – from customer service agents to parking lot attendants to USO and VIP volunteers -- sporting sunglasses and visors.  Airport staff and volunteers also will hand out event stickers and commemorative postcards.

Passengers can take pictures next to large backdrops of Los Angeles-themed postcards located at baggage claim and boarding gate areas of each terminal. Passengers will be encouraged to upload their photos onto the LAX Facebook page on www.facebook.com/LAInternationalAirport .

In addition, airlines and concessionaires will offer special discounts during the week, including:

Terminal 1

·                                             Southwest Airlines:  Discount vouchers toward roundtrip tickets

·                                             Camacho’s Café:  10% off $15 purchase or more
