From the LAX Airport Response Coordination Center – Update #1 at 1230 hours

As scheduled, both east and west directions of Century Boulevard between Airport Boulevard and the LAX Central Terminal Area are closed.  The temporary closures are expected to be intermittent until 4 p.m.  Some traffic congestion is reported at the other entrances to LAX which remain open:  (1) 96th Street Bridge from southbound Lincoln and Sepulveda boulevards, and from where traffic on westbound Century Boulevard is being diverted; (2) westbound I-105 Century Freeway to northbound Sepulveda Boulevard.   All flight operations are normal.  Outbound passengers are advised to plan accordingly to ensure they catch their departing flights.  Real-time flight status is available at www.lawa.org/fsw .
