(Los Angeles, California – March 7, 2013)  T he California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has notified Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) officials that the Number 3 lane (far right lane) of the southbound Sepulveda Tunnel near the airport will be closed from 11 p.m. on Friday, March 8, to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 9.  Caltrans will repair two drain covers in this area and the lane closure will allow the cement to dry and harden.  Lane Numbers 1 and 2 will remain open during this time.

Caltrans advises motorists to “Slow For The Cone Zone.”
