LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT YEAR-TO-DATE PASSENGER VOLUME CONTINUES TO SHOW GROWTH
(Ontario, California – December 26 , 2014) Passenger numbers atLA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) rose 4.05% from January 2014 through November 2014, compared to the same period last year. ONT airlines served3,768,098 travelers compared to 3,621,595 travelers during the same period in 2013. Passenger numbers were up 3.41% for the month of November, marking the eighth straight month of passenger volume growth.
“November continued the trend we’ve seen for most of 2014,” said Jess Romo, Airport Manager. “We expect December will show growth, and we will continue our work into 2015 to manage costs and keep the airport in a good, competitive position for our airline partners.”
International traffic continues to grow with International carriers, AeroMexico and Volaris, serving 79,839 passengers, which reflects an increase of more than 60% over the same period in 2013. Along with AeroMexico’s four weekly flights, Volaris is offering daily service to Guadalajara through January 14, 2015.
“We are glad to see the passenger activity generated this year, and we encourage the local residents, as well as nearby regional residents, to use their airport. Support of ONT air service is an important factor as we move ahead.”
